Autumn Term 2

Carol Concert Spectacular!! Wow, what an amazing concert! KS2 were all fabulous and sand, danced, read and performed beautifully. Y6 stood out for their incredible drumming, dancing, reading and singing and should feel so proud of themselves. Their African costumes were all wonderful too and really started the evening off with a bang! Well done everyone. :)

Carol Singing at Wareham Rugby Club - on Monday morning Y6 went and shared some of their Christmas spirit with Wareham Dementia group at the rugby club. They sang a mix of both traditional and more modern Christmas carols and put smiles on the faces of many. Well done Y6 - you really were amazing! :)

Editing our writing in Y6 is extremely important. Today we worked in small groups to support each other using our Editing Stations. We all found ways to help each other with our writing and picked up some tips along the way. We can't wait to re-write our suspense stories telling the story of Francis.

Fair Trade shopping trip. Today Y6 walked into Wareham to visit Co-Op and Sainsburys in search of Fair Trade products. They found lots of products, particularly in Co-Op and enjoyed being able to search closely for the special Fair Trade logo. The children were surprised by some of the products that were Fair Trade and would love to see even more Fair Trade products in our shops.

Fair Trade talk - Today we welcomed Heather and Charlotte from the Co-Op to share their knowledge of Fair Trade and what it means to communities across the world. The children enjoyed hearing about the advantages of Fair Trade, finding out about some of the products available locally and completing some activities linked to Fair Trade. Thank you Heather and Charlotte for giving up your time to work with us today. :)

Y6 Cake Sale - Year 6 (and their parents) worked incredibly hard to make and source cakes to sell at our Cake sale. The aim was to raise much-needed funds for our Leavers' celebrations at the end of the year. There were plenty of cakes and we sold all but 8! A total of £80 was raised so all in all, a very successful cake sale. Well done Y6 and thank you to everyone for supporting us. :)
