Spring Term 2nd Half 2026

Look at all our wonderful learning happening this half term...

Our class text to support writing this half term is The BFG and our guided reading text will be continuing Krindlekrax. It would be great if you had a copy of these texts at home to read to support your learning in class.

History -We have been learning about the history of the Roman Empire and reading non fiction books to find information.

History - We have created a timeline of events showing the rise and fall of the Roman Empire.

We had a lovely afternoon with Rev Neil and Rev Deborah learning about and reflecting on salvation from the Christian faith. We were able to handle and talk about different objects that are special to St Marys Church in Wareham at this time of year. We lit the candle from the church and said a special reflection prayer. Thank you Rev Neil and Rev Deborah for coming into our class.

World Book Day - we have loved sharing stories and taking it in turns to read to the class today.

We were very lucky that a real archaeologist came to talk to us and show Roman artifacts and the impact that Rome had on Wareham. Thank you so much Heather for sharing your treasures and knowledge.

Science - We have had fun experimenting using magnets. Learning about magnetism and polarization.

PAW - Year 3 had a lovely art workshop on Friday afternoon with the artist Sophie. The project was to represent the class as a flock of migrating birds, together they used a variety of media to create a sky background and create their own individual bird to represent themselves. The banner will be hanging up proudly at the PAW exhibition in May.
