    Hot School Meals

We are delighted to provide nutritionally balanced meals for all of our pupils

    School meals

All the meals we provide are nutritionally balanced and meet stringent government guidelines. Information about the menu and details of all allergens along with the process for ordering meals are available on our provider's website. Vegetarian options are provided and most special dietary requirements can be catered for.

The first step is to register your child with our school meal provider (Chartwells). Once this is done, meals can be ordered. If a special diet is required, for example because of an allergen or medical condition, then the providers will be in touch with the parent once registration is complete – this process is handled directly by the provider and not the school.

    Managing Allergies in School

Our school manages allergies in accordance with our First Aid and Medical Conditions, Managing Medication and Allergy Policy which can be found on our policy pages here.

Our school is ‘Allergy Aware’; this means that school staff have an awareness of allergies and the 14 key allergens; they understand how to deal with an anaphylactic episode and encourage pupils, visitors and parents to be allergy aware and ensure that staff know how to manage a safe environment.

Every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (Key Stage 1) is entitled to free school meals under the Universal Free School Meals scheme.

Free school meals are also available to children whose parents receive financial support and can be applied for through Pupil Premium Funding. For further information please speak to staff in the office who will be happy to help, or contact the free school meal team freeschoolmeals@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk

You can apply for free school meals through the Dorset Council website via the following link https://www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/education-and-training/schools-and-learning/at-school/free-school-meals.aspx
