National Trust visited us today with an art project to help promote protecting our local wildlife. We helped paint vey large dogs which will go in a National Trust site to encourage and remind people to put their dogs on leads as birds are nesting.
World Book Day - we have had a fantastic day celebrating traditional tales and books! We have written our own Enormous Turnip story and children from Year 5 came to read to us.
DT - we are very proud of our Elmer toys we have made. We used paper and paste to make it strong, a template to cut the ears out and a lever to make a moving part. We all successfully followed the brief to make a toy with a moving part! Look nat how Elmer's ears can move up and down with the lever mechanism.
Marvellous Maths - we have been learning about numbers to 50, partitioning and looking at representing tens and ones.
We have been learning about the prefix - un. Reading and matching the root words and using them to create our own sentences.
Well done Butterflies for filling our class colour tubes... great work!
