PE and Sports Premium

The PE and Sport Premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools. A lot of thought goes into how we can use the money to maximise the impact for our children. We spend it on: 1)CPD for teachers, ensuring lessons are of the highest quality; 2) We enable ALL children to have the opportunity to take part in inter-schools competitions throughout the year with our close links with the Purbeck School; 3) We invest in new equipment so children can experience the best PE lessons possible 4) We use the money to fund clubs so they are accessible for all children to take part in - finances should not be a barrier to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to take part in sport.

Much research has been carried out about how competing/taking part in a sport not only lifts your mood but supports you academically, developing a positivity mindset and giving you the drive to make you want to succeed. We believe that all our children should have this and the Sports Premium supports us and helps our children reach their full potential.
