computing

As the National Curriculum says, Computing is used to ‘equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world’

Computing allows creativity, exploration and above all an understanding of the computing world which we have grown so apart of.

Children will use various different pieces of software. These can include Scratch (a coding program), Isle of Tunes (create your own music) and bee bots (programming game). They will also learn about exploring the use of the internet; how we use the internet safely (e-safety) and how to explore the internet to find information.

Children will learn what an algorithm is, create and debug simple programs and use a range of software so they are prepared for a future with technology all around them.
