World Book Day 2022
Thu 03 Mar 2022Today we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up and reading anything silly, funny or a bit naughty! Mrs Davids wore a giant poo on her head all day (she was dressed as a book character, honest!) and families and staff shared pictures of themselves reading in silly situations or costumes. We had lots of fun reading and hope that everyone is inspired to 'be a reader'.

Harvest 2021
Tue 30 Nov 2021As part of our Harvest celebrations, we collected money for Christian Aid’s Harvest Appeal. We learnt about women in Malawi whose homes and farms had been destroyed by flooding and strong winds. We donated money to help them with their new business of making juice from the baobab.
We learnt that the storms and floods that affected Malawi were caused by climate change, and that climate change will continue to cause extreme weather all over the world.
Every child in our school made a prayer boat and we sent these images to Cop26 to show our support for climate change. Our prayers asked God to help the world leaders make changes to protect the world from climate change.

Holocaust Memorial Day
Wed 03 Feb 2021On the 27th January 2021, our school commemorated ‘Holocaust Memorial Day’. The day is used to remember the six million Jews and other ethnic groups who were murdered by the Nazis as well as those who died in subsequent genocides.
The theme for this year was ‘Be the light in the darkness’.
Using this theme, the staff, parents and children at our school lit a candle to remember all those who were murdered and to stand against prejudice and hatred in the world today.
